Every day God invites each one of us to live into what is most true about ourselves, about others, and about God. And yet our experiences along the journey--loss, pain, suffering, trauma--have bullied us into believing lies about who we are, who others are, and who God is.

Truth, though, sets us free.

We are liberated as we reject the lies we’ve believed and choose, instead, to claim what is most true about who we are, who others are, and who God is. In the person of Jesus, we hear God’s constant whisper, “I am the one who is with you and for you,” and we recognize the face that does not fail.

 

This is the voice to listen to. This is the face to trust.
