Bigger Steps...

Coaching as You Launch

Margot works with a writer, via email and zoom, to make sure that he or she knows the target reader, understands that reader's felt need, and is offering a fresh solution that meets that need.

On that foundation, Margot will help writer to identify the best structure for his or her book, as well as create a chapter map that guides the writer when he or she sits down to write your book proposal or your book.

Who Benefits? This service is for the writer who needs help honing the message and organizing his or her thoughts before writing a proposal or book.

Coaching as You Write

Whether you’re working with a traditional publisher or self-publishing, Margot provides writing feedback, chapter by chapter, as you write. Feedback is akin to a substantive edit, bundled with writing coaching and encouragement.

Who Benefits? This service is for the writer who wants feedback during the writing process

Note: the benefit of this process depends on the writer meeting deadlines and having margin to return to review suggestions. If a writer struggles with time management, this won't be a win. If a contracted writer is working with a publisher, and is not front-loading the writing well before publisher’s deadline, he or she also won’t benefit from the feedback Margot offers.

Go Big...

Discovery Day

Margot travels to an author and, over the course of 6-8 hours, she works with the author to identify the book's target reader, understand her need, and identify the author's fresh solution to meet that need.

Together you'll brainstorm content, outline the book, and create a chapter map that helps when writer sits  down to write chapters.

Who Benefits? This service is likely for the contracted author--whose expertise may be in another area--who has secured a book contract. It helps this person to hone his or her unique message and organize content to best serve the reader.
